ROBBIE: I'LL SAVE MARK'S MARRIAGE

ABOVE: Mark Owen has admitted he was unfaithful to his wife Emma
12th March 2010

By Kim Dawson and Nigel Pauley

ROBBIE Williams last night offered Mark Owen his LA mansion as a getaway from his marriage meltdown.

Ex-Take That star Robbie, 36, stepped in after his pal was thrown out by devastated wife Emma, 33, over his womanising.

Robbie said Mark, 38, could use his Los Angeles home for himself or as a place where he could go with his wife to talk through their problems.

A source said: “Mark has confessed to having issues with booze and with his own substance abuse past.

“Robbie is the perfect person to offer him support.”

Take That favourite Mark is staying at a friend’s home after heartbroken Emma told him: “I cannot forgive you – you’ve had enough chances already.”

Pals fear the pint-sized singer will hit the bottle as he tries to cope.

In a heart-to-heart at their London home, he confessed to cheating on Emma at least 10 times since they started dating five years ago.

Mark owned up after learning accounts manager Neva Hanley, 24, was about to go public.
He admitted “carrying on” with Neva, who he met on a railway platform in 2004, for five years.

But he dismissed the other flings as “drunken onenight stands”.

Mark, who has children Elwood, three, and Willow Rose, one, with Emma, swore that he had been faithful to her since their wedding five months ago.

And he sobbed: “You loved me and I’ve let you down. I’m sorry.”

A friend revealed: “Mark is feeling a broken man.”

Last night he said: “I’m so deeply sorry for the pain my actions have caused my family and friends.

“I’d like to ask the media to please respect the privacy of my wife and children during this difficult time.”

Bandmates Gary Barlow, 39, Jason Orange, 39 and Howard Donald, 41, have been kept informed but had no comment.

PLAYLIST Editor Kim Dawson says: “Mark Owen is the last person I’d expect to ‘do an Ashley’. As my first popstar crush, I’ve followed Mark through his Take That days, solo hits and flops and coming full circle with the reunion.

“He has a good heart and did the right thing by admitting his errors.

“It’ll be hard for Emma to forgive and forget but for the sake of their kids I do hope they come through this with the support of friends and family. As a Take That fan, Mark, I’m rooting for you both.”
